While
early Psikyo PCBs used specific Roms for each language region, later board
have stored all versions in the same Eprom. To change the language, you
have to find a hidden jumper. On all PS3V1 type Psikyo PCBs, this
is jumper JP5. It consists of a row of 4 metallic spots and is
mounted on the surface. example: If your PCB is set to japanese language (default), all connections should be intact. To change the region to world, cut the connection of the 2nd jumper (see picture) with a small knife. You can also use a small screwdriver to scratch a gap between the two semicircles. It's really easy; just keep care not to slip off. To set the jumper back to it's original position, close it with a drop of solder. If you plan to switch often between the different language settings, you should solder a DIP switch onto the jumper. |
